L.H.P.R have come to the rescue of two more equines...

The L.H.P.R office received a call a few months back from a lady about two ponies she was concerned about. Her friend who owned both ponies was now unable to look after them due to age and ill health. With winter coming he was also stru

ggling to afford extra fodder and bedding for them. Here at L.H.P.R we are firm believers of ''catching it before its too late'' and this was certainly a case of this.

While both ponies are in good condition their feet, worming and vaccinations urgently need attention and with the weather getting colder we are glad the owner made the right decision is surrendering his animals into the legal care of The Leinster Horse and Pony Rescue.

The skewbald mare is now known as ''Bella'' and is four years of age. She is 14.2hh and is unbroken.

The bay mare who has yet to be named is 13.1hh, 10 years old and is broken.Both ponies will remain with us for the next number of weeks before they are placed up for adoption.
