SPECIAL URGENT L.H.P.R APPEAL...

Rescued in August 2014 after receiving a phonecall about his plight of being abandoned on a road in Tipperary- a small cheeky Dartmoor cross pony called Mika arrived at L.H.P.R. He had a horrific injury to his penis in which we thought was a cancerous growth. However after many visits to the equine hospital and treatment with antibiotics and painkillers and loads of TLC he was given the all clear. However the veterinary team came to a conclusion that his penis is paralyzed as a result from a possible kick, as he was reportedly used as a ''teaser''.
Over the past number of months he has developed into a confident little pony. However he is still wary of people but shows no sign of aggression. Due to his abusive past we are appealing for somebody with experience in dealing with abused equines to come forward with the view of rehoming him to lend him the best possible chance.

We appreciate he will require lots of work but are confident that the right person for Mika is out there somewhere.
Mika is 7 years of age and is gelded. He is 10hh.
If you wish to help us in giving Mika a second go at life please Email the L.H.P.R Office: info@leinsterhorserescue.com OR Phone 086 783 9944.
THANK YOU.
